Eat fruit…they contain a lot of sugar and eventually you will start to crave fruit instead.
Vegan is for people that have never tasted real food
I always thought going vegan was not eating animal-related products. How is sugar an animal-related product?
ummmm….sugar is not an animal product,so eat it! or,switch to splenda if its calories ur worried about.
carrots are pretty sweet. try them? Any Fruits?
My mom and sisters are vegans. Some junk food that has a lot of sugar, doesn’t have any dairy. Just look in the back of it and check. I know that for sure because both my mom and sisyters have some junk food.
well I’m not vegan, but I am on a diet and I get major sugar cravings sometimes. I found out a hot cup of green tea with some Equal helps control my appetite and gets rid of those cravings. Stick with it, once your body adjusts to no sugar it will be fine and those cravings will lessen. It takes a while to get out of your system, and until then you might get headaches or something. By the way though, I thought sugar was fine for vegetarians? Isn’t it a plant?
u chew gum. alot. like, constantly.
eat like one sugar free choclate thingys! you know, the energy bars? its hard to beleve there no sugar-SOMETIMES
eat fruit w/ natural sugars
i still eat sugar.
not all vegans cut out sugar.
i try to eat healthy but i still eat junk food on occasion.
**a lot but not all. oreos are vegan, cake mixes at least Duncan Hines as some that are vegan as long as you substitute applesauce, bananas or other items for the eggs.. or use soy for milk if needed.
o and vegan ice cream.. mmm. or chocolate soy milk is good for a snack too
Fruit and sugar substitutes (Splenda in your coffee, etc.)
Fruit will eventually take the place of other sweets, and Splenda has been tested for years in other countries as safe. Though, if you’re cooking with Splenda, I would definitely not use it as x=x for sugar. You have to cook with it very differently, or it will taste awkward.
hard candy =D
vegan ice cream
peanuts
bubblegum
soda
anything that uses soy or lactose free milk instead of milk
Do you know anything with gelatin (marshmallows, jello, glue) have pig fat in them! Sorry I just had to blurt it out!
If you missed the sweet craving use the natural herbal product called stevia. It comes in a powdered form. You can buy it in natural food stores.
You can still find junk food with sugar and that doesn’t contain milk and eggs— or make it yourself. I eat more sugar than I should, but I still eat it, and I’m vegan. Make a big ol’ batch of vegan cookies to keep at home for when you get the sweet munchies! Or perhaps…. some cupcakes http://www.theppk.com/vegancupcakes.html
browse through some of the interesting junkfoods at online stores http://cosmosveganshoppe.com/ http://veganessentials.com/
Don’t make it too hard for yourself to go vegan. It’s not that hard!
Eating lot of fibrous food, whole/multi grain food, lentils ( include whole wheat or oatmeal, brown or wild rice, variety of beans and peas) can decrease sugar cravings. Also include lot of vegetables and fruits in your diet. Stews with pasta/ rice, recipes which use rice, lentils, pasta and vegetable. Basically fooling your stomach by eating more of the above stuff will definitely reduce sugar cravings.
When you crave for sugar eat an apple or handful of berries or a banana. You can still use soymilk (which I guess is vegan), oatmeal and eat it with berries. Use honey to sweeten things instead of sugar.

You can still eat sugar and junk foods.
The problem many vegans have with sugar is that many manufacturers refine their sugar with bone char from animals. You can research products before you buy so you know what to avoid. I also suggest you take up cooking and baking. That way you know what you’re using. There are a lot of great sites out there with recipes for vegan desserts.
Fruit is also very high in the sugar fructose, which is actually much sweeter than sucrose or glucose.
