 * your own metabolism 
 * the type of foods you typically eat...it&#039;s easy to be vegan &amp; still eat a lot of junk. Obviously, fresh whole foods will digest faster than say cookies, white bread, overly processed soy cheese, and such things. And if you eat a lot of fiber, things will pass through your system much faster.
 * how active you are. Usually, people who are more active overall tend to have a higher metabolism.
 * If you use any kind of drugs (even over the counter stuff). Caffeine has been known to speed up the digestive process, while alcohol &amp; some other drugs can slow it down.

Personally, if I&#039;ve been eating pretty healthily, I&#039;ll usually be either farting or pooping out my last meal no later than 4-8 hours after eating it.</description>
