Ok, I am not vegan. But you say you’ve only been vegan for a month? Adjusting to a whole new diet is going to take some getting used to. Think of how much food out there that is non vegan and how commonly you used to eat. Just give it time.

It happens, and it’ll probably happen to you again. Some things are deceptive, like some ‘dairy-free’ cheeses that turn out to have casein in them.

I’ve never worried about it afterwards – just accept it happened and move on, don’t beat yourself up. You’ll know to avoid that product in future.

Remember – you’re a volunteer, not a conscript. There’s no ‘punishment’ for breaking any rules, and you shouldn’t be punishing yourself.

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!
The vegan police are going to break into your house tonight, throw a body bag around you and take you away. No one will be told what has become of you! If your friends ask too many questions, the same will happen to them! Don’t try to hide, they have eyes everywhere.
Get over it!

Most of us have. It’s not a big deal. It’s not the same as purposely eating an animal product. You make the effort to find out if something is vegan or not, and sometimes you’re misinformed. You learn from it and move on.

When eating out tell the wait staff when you order that you have a food allergy to meat and animal byproducts. Then they have to use clean utensils when preparing your food.

It happens. Don’t worry about it.
