by Admin on March 30, 2010

Before I wеnt vegan, I сουld mаkе a 30 calorie frappuccino wіth powdered milk solids….now I саn’t find аnу alternative thаt wіll whip іn thе same way wіth ice, tο thе perfect consistancy! Whаt іѕ thе science behind thіѕ? I’m stumped!

Great question and I wish I knew! I just wanted to say that I work with a vegan and she uses Rice Dream or Soy Milk! Maybe try one of those?!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

I don’t know the science behind it, but have you tried soy milk?

powdered milk solids whips because of the high protien content. Skim milk whips for the same reason.

its simple ice melt slowly so water is added to milk powder is very less and slowly
but water goes suddenly and make all the powder wet

Bubbles is right, the high protien and the fat in regular cow’s milk create small pockets in the liquid that basically can take air in more easily then say rice milk or soymilk, which also have protien but not much fat.

I think the big question here is why would anybody become a Vegan?
You are cutting years off your life.
Give me your address and I will send you some Oklahoma Beef!

try coconut milk. It’s thick, and can be whipped…but the calorie might jump to the sky though!
