Would tofu work well as a replacement for eggs in a vegan chocolate pie?

um i dunno try it and find out
I don’t think the tofu will do what the eggs are meant to in the recipe. There is an egg substitute called EGG BEATERS.
There is a product call Egg Replacement its in the asian sectson I think and it work great .Ive used it for years
Eggs are used to make the pie softer, i guess so tofu will definitely not work, i think u can try some soda bicarb and can try searching vegan recipes on net.
you can use tofu.. but make SURE it’s the Silken type. or it will not go very well.. or you can use Flax seed and water or banannas if you wish.. OR there are vegan cakes.. i call them Wacky cakes that don’t use eggs at all and turn out GREAT!! here is a link to some:

GOOD LUCK!!
Yes, I think silken tofu should work well. I have a chocolate pie recipe that is based on silken tofu. Use 1/4 cup per egg and puree it in the blender.
Check our Veganomicon if you want a chocolate pie recipe that’s built vegan from the ground up. The “Smlove” pie is awesome.
Is it a “cream” pie? If so, silken tofu should work great (1/4 cup replaces one egg). If it’s not a “cream” pie, I’d recommend Ener-g egg replacer (or it’s equivalent)- which is easily found at any health food store.
Happy baking!
apple sauce would do the job perfectly – sweet and gooood and you can buy it at most general stores pre-made if you don’t want to make your own.
good luck! x
